"We recognized as a company that we needed to not only create a safe space for courageous and meaningful dialogue; but that we also needed to equip our leaders and colleagues with the right skills to ensure that these discussions allowed for everyone’s voice to be heard respectfully."

Vice President for Inclusion & Diversity, FIS Global

FIS Global is a U.S. financial services company with more than 55,000 employees located all around the globe. Following the upheaval and unrest of 202, EP was invited to support their Inclusion & Diversity program. They hoped to co-create a shared language around complex issues and to equip employees with a dialogic toolset that could help them navigate differences of identities and perspectives.

To achieve these goals, Essential Partners led a series of live, virtual trainings with a diverse array of FIS staff members located across five time zones on four continents. The employees then met in small groups to practice their newfound skills, reflect on the norms and culture of the organization, and build a resilient foundation of trust and mutual understanding to weather future storms.

Jennifer Frasier, Vice President for Inclusion & Diversity, shared her reflections on why FIS felt the need to embark on this ambitious organizational culture initiative, and why Essential Partners was the right fit to meet their needs:

“In the wake of the social unrest we experienced in 2020, our leaders and colleagues were grappling with how to have important conversations on topics like equity, inclusion, and belonging within the workplace.

“We recognized as a company that we needed to not only create a safe space for courageous and meaningful dialogue; but that we also needed to equip our leaders and colleagues with the right skills to ensure that these discussions allowed for everyone’s voice to be heard respectfully.

“Essential Partners, their approach, tools, and resources has been critical in enabling this journey for us to greater awareness and understanding across the organization on the perspectives and experiences of our colleagues.”
